Yamaha Yzr-M1 50Th Anniversary U.S. Inter-Coloring Edition

This model depicts the special Inter-coloring edition YZR-M1 that raced in the 2005 U.S. MotoGP. The commemorative special edition bike was produced to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Yamaha Motor. Tamiya"s model faithfully replicates the distinctive markings of U.S. Grand Prix edition, together with the compact and streamlined form of the 2005 YZR-M1.The distinctive yellow body with black strobe pattern is based on the image colors of YamahaInternational Corporation (Y.I.C.), predecessor of Yamaha Motor Corporation USA founded in1977. It was the coloring featured on the YZR500 which won three consecutive 500cc GrandPrix in 1978-80. This particular coloring and graphic has long been popular with fans, and is animportant part of Yamaha racing history. Gauloises Team Yamaha chose this color scheme forits special edition bike that raced in the 2005 MotoGP Round 8, U.S. Grand Prix.
